The Hundred Acre Woods

Formed in the latter half of 2009, Pennsylvania-based The Hundred Acre Woods aims to convey a message that is both young and old - a blending of the honesty and sincerity of traditional folk music with the raw energy and drive of punk rock.
Drawing influence from both the fast-paced city life and their suburban roots, The Hundred Acre Woods break the traditional “rules,” of both punk and folk, creating a new and refreshing sound characterized by driving banjo hooks and rich vocal harmonies. Spending the last few years growing their rowdy folk sound out of Philadelphia basements and releasing splits with the likes of screamo heroes Old Gray and scrappy punks Modern Baseball, the songwriting team of Reinhardt and Stevens has culminated in a duality most noticeable on their upcoming self-produced 7”, "Cold In The Morning". The Hundred Acre Woods employ sincere lyricism and raucous acoustic guitar to create indie music with mainstream appeal, each song as wild and likeable as the band’s members.
